Baby has a new trick. Now he can roll from front to back, he does it and then complains in his cot until someone comes to get him 🙄

But he knows how to roll the other way too 😂😂

The Thirteenth Hour is so good!!!!! Buy it NOW!
The Cruel Gods trilogy is an adult gaslamp fantasy featuring magical portals, gothic cosmic deities, quaint Britishisms, and steampunk vibes. Start with SPFBO and BBNYA finalist, The Thirteenth Hour, but check my website for content warnings. Available on Kindle Unlimited.

Happy publication day to Faithbreaker, the conclusion to the Fallen Gods trilogy!

This trilogy is absolutely beautiful - the hardbacks are gorgeous and the writing is too! I'm a big fan of slightly shorter fantasy books too as there are so many real chunks out there.

Congratulations Hannah Kaner!

Albion city is governed by a puppet queen, secretly controlled by Lord Cromwell, and strange magic is afoot as six Guilds all compete to rule it. Although the Leaf Guild is the weakest, no one has reckoned with newcomer Jed Greenleaf's extraordinary ability to transform into a half-tree, covered over with bark . . . he just needs to learn how to harness that power.

But I do have one big life excuse for my lack of updates and reviews…I spent 2024 pregnant and in September gave birth to my beautiful baby. So things were and are chaotic which has obviously shaped and changed my life and my reading!

#bookpost thank you to Usborne for these two!

I love all of Jenny Pearson's books, so I am sure that Shrapnel will be no exception.

And Under a Fire-Red Sky by Geraldine McCaughrean looks moving and unforgettable!

Can't wait to read them both.

So is this predictable? Yes. Am I also loving it? Yes.

Fast, easy read.
Diving into this - it's had a lot of hype. Hoping there's not too much romance in it for me.

I’ve been searching through old artwork, and I turned up this sketch of Eerie-on-Sea, drawn while I was still writing Malamander (back in 2017). The town wasn’t set in my imagination yet, but I think you can see Hastings here, and also Cromer.
