Kia ora Santa,
Who am I? I’m an art teacher who loves retro fabric prints, enamel pins, good espresso coffee, vintage teaspoons and much much more. Some of the photos on my timeline indicate my tastes and aesthetic #MWSecretSantaAoNZ

I like to lean into the retro aesthetic with vintage teaspoons from obscure places in NZ. I have also amassed a number of enamel pins (they would be my most frequently worn accessory)

I am by all accounts an Autumn (clothing colours that best suit me). Green would be my favourite colour. I’ve a soft spot for retro prints - check out my timeline for my aesthetic. #SecretSantaAoNZ
Today's question for #SecretSantaAoNZ
Especially great for all the crafting Santas we're blessed with when they're sleuthing.

I attended a family birthday gathering in the weekend. It was essentially 48 hours of socialising, with no downtime for this introvert. I was STRUGGLING today. 🪫 😵

We had senior prize giving tonight. I got to wear my regalia. It feels a bit special each time, as I never got to wear it in Autumn 2020.

One way of attaining the mythical 147K we are supposed to be on (According to J Collins) at the top of the scale. www.stuff.co.nz/world-news/3...
The Australian state where every teacher could soon earn at least $114,000
The offer includes better pay and reduced workloads.

#Oct23Strike I couldn’t do this in person due to weather & power outages. So here are my speaking points & visual props. I’m the Principal’s nominee @ my school, this means responsibility for all things NZQA. This is often invisible but complex essential work - qualifications literally rely on it /1

Why are secondary teachers striking on Thursday? While the pay offer is not great, this is only one of the reasons govt. offers have been rejected to date 🧵 /1

The minister’s comments about teachers & exams is a nonsense. Only 1 teacher is allowed in exams - the Principal’s Nominee. @ my school that’s me. If there was an exam running pm of the 5th I’d have applied for an exemption or delegated to SLT as I would if sick. www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/3608...
Minister says teacher strikes will impact exams. Teachers disagree. What’s the deal?
Following last week’s rolling strikes, high school teachers will be walking off the job on Thursday in a mega-strike set to involve 100,000 public sector workers.
