I like to give the models a sketch m, because who wouldn’t want more than money to take home when you’re on a roomful of artists using you as inspiration. I also realized that I need to be more careful of where the holes are with this postcard-sized paper. #figuredrawing #oilpastel #art

Why do mosquitoes not die in the heat? I know my neighbour raises and nurtures them in a vat of standing water, but… why doesn’t that vat of water dry up like it does everywhere else? My front yard is not that close, but the mosquitoes are horrendous! #mosquitomysteries

Had to deal with yet another person getting handsy with my sketchbook and materials in the figure drawing group today. It’s not the first time and probably won’t be the last. 😞 Some people seem to think I use some special or expensive materials to draw with. #art

Today is the last day of the show at 105magallery! This means that we’re open from 1:00 to 4:00 today, so I have time to take down the artwork. Remember the gallery is on a side street beside a gym and near the hot dog stand. 😉 All #art is of course available for purchase so you can love it at home

“Waiting for Ophelia” is not a large drawing. If you look closely, you can see black circles. It started as a drawing for a show with a theme of looking through the door during the pandemic, & I had the idea of an enlarged screen door.

- Two days in a row groups of teenage boys have voluntarily entered the gallery, enjoyed my artwork, & interacted with the artist.
- Teenage girls have also strolled in after being attracted to the colours.

SOLD! Purple and Green Moss has found a new home! I am very thankful that a new collector enjoys this drawing but I am also sad to see it leave. It honestly is one of my favourites

SOLD! Purple and Green Moss has found a new home! I am very thankful that a new collector enjoys this drawing but I am also sad to see it leave. It honestly is one of my favourites

Someone I didn’t know and who has never been to @105magallery before walked in off the street and started earnestly looking at the drawings. A few minutes later she had a huge smile on her face. Talk about an instinctive reaction and a great compliment! #現代アート #contemporaryart #drawings

Dog splooting like a squirrel, enjoying the sunshine and being reluctant to continue the walk.
