In the contract for the Saline Township data center, DTE says they’ll recoup costs through rate increases on customers later. Considering we’ve already had so many rate increases, this is unacceptable. Let the commission know your thoughts on this: thesuntimesnews.com/michigan-ags...

Though I was not elected for city council, I wish to thank everyone who helped me during my campaign. So many members of the community came together during my efforts in running for a local seat, and I am beyond grateful to have received such a wealth of support.

DTE is requesting rushed approval from Michigan regulators for their new power agreement to serve the data center proposed in Saline Township. This will sidestep scrutiny from environmental groups and consumer advocates.

You still have time to achieve that “just turned in my absentee ballot” feeling! Use one of the three #Saline drop boxes to return your ballot today and select the next #SalineCityCouncil members. Drop boxes are located in the city hall lobby, the city hall parking lot and behind Comerica bank.

Anyone still holding onto their absentee ballot? Now is a good time to make a plan to get it dropped off before November 4th. At this point it’s better to drop it off (if possible) to make sure it doesn’t encounter any delays at the post office that make you miss the deadline!
