1963 wurde auf dem Silberhügel im Tagebau Amsdorf-Etzdorf (Landkreis Mansfeld-Südharz) beim Kiesabbau ein Steinkistengrab von einem Bagger aufgerissen. Die Kombination der Grabbeigaben bezeugt eine ungewöhnliche reiche Grabausstattung für einen Mann der Glockenbecherkultur.

Found at the bottom of a lake, researchers dated the waterlogged wooden remains, indicating Dunavec was occupied by some of the first farmers in Europe.
