It’s interesting to read first novels to get a ✨glimpse✨of how far legends have come. This one has… y’all quite a number of no-no’s that King has posted in his memoir not to do but what amazes me about it, as I read through this, the HEART behind the story is still, truly, King. That’s fucking cool.

Been gone a while to recover from surgery!! An aggressive autoimmune condition took all my hearing on my left side and we put in a cochlear implant so I can hear again. Still dealing with pain and pressure, but i’m looking forward to a new chapter 💕

We visited Hemingway’s house. I’m not even a fan of his work, but he’s a spectacle, so why not?
His writing room was separate from the main house, only accessible from his bedroom balcony. His own little refuge where he lost track of time.

2024 was a year of big goals and hopefuls. I can say I managed to complete two short stories (which!! is a big deal!!! for submission!!), illness stole everything else.
And that’s okay. Some years are not “good” writing years, but a year taking care is a good year spent.
