Long away from desktop dev, I asked ChatGPT what the .NET situation is like now. Got a list of technologies with notes—surprisingly even for F#. Note on Elmish.WPF: "Elegant for those avoiding OOP and MVVM mess." Evidently, the training data is improving. 😀

Nudged by a lecture on building an LLM from scratch with TorchSharp, I started coding one in F#. A GPT-2-like model ran fine on my PC, but aiming for GPT-4-like model to be competitive? My PC squealed after RMSNorm & RPE, then flatlined at warmup/cosine decay. Another biz idea gone. 🙃
