'Lighting Up.' (c1960) Leslie Worth was one of Britain's finest watercolourists despite never having had a lesson in watercolour at any of the three colleges of art where he studied - rooted largely in the native Romantic traditions, he produced wonderfully quirky pieces of work.

Charlotte Salomon created 1,325 paintings from 1940 to 1942 called 'Life? or Theatre?,'an autobiographical account of her life, they include this self-portrait. Charlotte and her husband Alexander were deported from France to Auschwitz where they were both murdered in 1943.
