Looks like Seoul managed to pull off a favorable trade negotiation with the US: annual cash investment capped at $20b for 10 years, automobile tariffs reduced to 15%, and continued protection for its rice and beef markets along with tariff rate for semiconductors comparable to that for Taiwan.

What a simplified world this movie represents - a world in which the US has no security allies and partners that would have alerted about a launch and the WH skips consulting with allies in Indo-Pacific and Europe before retaliating. Oh wait, so it is a likely scenario given how things are going. 🥴
