Trump's audience in calling for sedition charges against Democrats isn't just them, it's also members of his own party.

He must intimidate anyone thinking of walking away from him because of Epstein/economy/Ukraine with threats of arrest/violence.

He's keeping people of his OWN party in line.
President Trump accused half a dozen Democratic lawmakers of sedition “punishable by DEATH” after the lawmakers — all veterans of the armed services and intelligence community — called on U.S. military members to uphold the constitution and defy “illegal orders.” https://to.pbs.org/4r5aZZH

The geography of this will be interesting. I doubt GOP frontliners will want to be anywhere near the rambling, sputtering, gobbledygook, political poison known as Trump.
Saying “I don’t want to hear about the affordability” didn’t work?

It is incredible — the blind spots you develop when you’ve never, ever been poor.
Trump claims that food stamps "puts the country in jeopardy. People that are able-bodied can do a job, they leave their job because they figure they can pick this up, it's easier."

"They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Awwww-Hahahaha. Hahahahhahahahahahhaaha.
This hidden provision is so crooked and selfish, it doesn't even apply to US Representatives. Just US Senators.
Look at this new outrage. To open govt, we're retroactively letting 8 Senators sue for $500K each over having had their J6 phone toll records looked at. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...

It looks like one of Saddam's palaces. American government style is meant to be understated. This is some gaudy shit by a guy with zero style.

Seriously. This should be enough to keep the government closed.

The Democratic Senators who negotiated the shutdown end couldn't even bring half the caucus over. They just cut a "deal" and said the hell with everyone else who was fighting.

And this is the headline we get because of it.

Democrats fold on biggest government shutdown demand

They are trying to grab the high road by saying they are walking away from a fight with a bully. But everyone who's ever been on a playground knows that's not how you stand up to a bully. Sometimes you gotta fight even if you don't want to.
Hassan: With the government reopening shortly, Republicans now finally have to come to the table. Or make no mistake, Americans will remember who stood in the way.

It is very notable that several Dems are putting out strong statements that effectively backhand members of their caucus
I’ve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.

I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.

What the Senate Democrats agreed to is NOT a deal!

Its a capitulation to Trump and his ghouls who are letting familes starve, are actively trying to destroy the social safety net, and are willing to let people go uninsured.

How did so many Democratic bedwetters get elected?
November 10, 2025 at 1:15 AM
And Trump is appealing an order to release SNAP funds. Because he refuses to abide by a law that requires him to distribute the money.

An administration full of ghouls.
Remember when Donald Trump said there would be people standing in bread lines trying to get food if Kamala Harris won?

People are standing in line for food in Cleveland because of Donald Trump.

Duffy is acting like this is some nebulous event happening to the Administration, ignoring the reality that Trump's clown car holds all the power levers.
Sean Duffy: "As we come into Thanksgiving, if we're still in a shutdown posture, it's gonna be rough out there. Really rough."

They go too far.
Tyler and I are out here at the rally where the crowd has about doubled since this first post. Easily 400+ people.

Group is chanting “no hate, no fear, everyone is welcome here.”
Here at Northcenter Town Square where 100-200 community members including families and young children are rallying after a teacher was taken by federal law enforcement from a local daycare this morning.

A lot of Republican flailing and yelling into the wind about the shutdown today. They are lost and panicking. The Dems need to hold the line for ACA subsidies and government employee back pay.

Now is not the time for democrats to cave on the shutdown. They can get both ACA subsidies and ensure backpay for government employees if they hold the line.

AOC and Bernie need to rip hearts and lungs out this morning and make sure no one wavers.

Any Dem reopening the government is helping Trump and Homan to kidnap more people. There is absolutely no benefit to re-opening the government. They're telling you every day that when ICE gets more money, it's gonna be full on disaster. If your Senator is offering up a CR, they're on Trump's side

Republicans are mostly to blame for the shutdown (and I've said this since September). But Democrats knew that Trump flanked by Russ Vought would use SNAP as a pain point. Still, there's only one person who can end this: Trump. And he's shown no interest.

Americans go hungry as Republicans and Democrats point fingers amid shutdown
The whole exchange in the Senate about SNAP shows nobody is serious about stopping people from going hungry. Eric Garcia writes that Democrats aren’t blameless, but Trump bears the most responsibility
