My first time playing a #Homebrew #TTRPG was an afterschool activity organised by one of the teachers. I was around 10. I played Rakham the Red (naming my character after a pirate in a Tintin novel), the town's burly barkeep. No grand adventures, just all of us running a viking village together.

I wonder if demons who screw up a mission get demoted to sleepover séance duty. A bunch of giggling middle school kids try to contact the dead, and now you have to spend your night spelling spooky things on a ouija board. And if you mess that up, you have to demonically influence a Magic 8-Ball.

Thinking about that time playing Metro 2033 and had my character smuggle his shotgun shells up his ass to get past the Nazi checkpoint in Tverskaya.
All the effort our GM had spent creating a tense atmosphere ruined as the entire table burst out laughing.
Best part was that it worked.
