Maybe, and I'm spitballing here, women don't like waiting in hospital parking lots until they are near death to have life-saving abortions. Maybe they enjoy having a bank account and jobs and voting rights. Maybe they don't want a court judge to decide if they deserve a divorce. Wow, what a mystery.

We have the mid-term.
What I believe is the old guard really screwed up & did not read the room. The base wants fighters, & I believe wherever possible, new blood will rise to remove the old guard. I think we may see a wave of social democrats on the ticket. For better or worse is the question.

Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal".

My brother who had a liver transplant & bc of it couldn't work full time; who was an essential worker; who died from covid... never told me while alive he was on SNAP. To think the little he received, Rs would joyfully take away. That's who they are @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social

This going dark early, sucks. It's just, yuck.
I think I will change my wake-up time so I have daylight most of my waking time.
If I am up by 6am.. then at 4:30 pm, sunset... I will have 10 hours of daylight.
