Even in easy times, this democracy needs care. And right now it is in dire need of defense. And it needs defenders who are willing to do whatever it takes. Americans are begging for more. Begging for Democrats to get off the mat and back into the fight. Homeless people in DC are already homeless. Now, the cruel Trump regime has kicked them out of their encampments with no plans to house them. The rich are so out of touch. As they take jobs and affordability away, more folks will become homeless. Our country has become unrecognizable.

No, JD, prayer for victims of shootings don’t work. Neither do America’s prayers that our elected lawmakers will ban assault weapons. In America, assault weapon ownership is way more important than children’s lives. Period.

The head of the NRA should be made to take a tour of a trauma ward handling assault weapon injuries. These weapons aren’t used for hunting animals. They are for hunting people. They destroy bodies. No civilian needs these.
