I was asked recently, what the biggest improvement in critical care that has occurred in my career: without hesitation, it has been vaccines. Varicella, HIB, Meningococcus type B, COVID-19, rotavirus and now RSV, on top of the previous ones. Diseases that used to cause so much death. #PedsICU

Just found out they approved moving RFK Jr out of committee to full senate vote. The two Republican physicians on the Finance committee should have their medical licenses (if ever had one!) rescinded immediately!

Has anyone ever seen SSPE? I have. It is horrible and entirely preventable. I still remember telling family members that measles is the cause.

This morning sent emails to all Republican members of the Senate Finance Committee (2 of whom are MDs) stating it is imperative that RFK Jr not become Secretary of HHS.

Seems like the FBI finding 150 homemade bombs at the home of a guy who uses Biden’s picture for target practice should be a bigger story.

Apparently he may get released on a $25,000 bond.

As an intern in 1986, I saw sepsis, meningitis & death due to H flu B. As the HiB vaccine rolled out, it was beautiful to see that scourge to children’s health rapidly disappear To think that we may be seeing it again as the anti-vaxxer in chief & his minions take office makes me sad & angry.
