Nonprofits should not risk losing their tax-exempt status simply because this administration and Congressional Republicans disagree with their views. Oversight must be even-handed, not used to target those that the majority doesn't agree with.

Foreign influence in American nonprofits deserves oversight. But if we’re serious about accountability, we can’t ignore what’s happening inside the White House and across this administration.

Congratulations to the Sonoma Farm Bureau on another successful crab feed. Grateful for the work they do funding scholarships, agricultural education, advocacy programs and ongoing support of agriculture in our community.

Our elections are key to our democracy. The SAVE Act would make it harder for registered, legal voters to vote. At a time when the president is talking about nationalizing elections, we must protect our democracy and every voter's choice.

Thousands of servicemembers currently enlisted in our armed services are non-citizens. They're putting their lives on the line for our country, and they should have a pathway to citizenship.

I voted against ICE funding last week, I'll vote against ICE funding this week, and I opposed creating the agency in the first place. Under Secretary Noem, ICE has become a rogue agency. She must be fired, resign, or be impeached. We cannot allow ICE to terrorize our communities.

No public official should profit from their position, and that includes the president. I introduced the Prevent Presidential Profiteering Act to tax 100 percent of legal settlements paid to presidents so our tax dollars cannot be pocketed for personal gain.

Lake County made it clear: ICE is not welcome in our communities. Terrorizing families doesn’t make us safer. I’m fighting to impeach Kristi Noem and make sure we hold our immigration agents accountable with legislation to require body cameras and prohibit wearing masks.
