Attorney. DOJ is unethical & out of control. Remember Melissa & Mark Hortman & The German White Rose students who lost their lives in the fight for Democracy. Mamdani is the future. Netanyahu is Hitler. DJT, Rubio & Noem must be impeached.

And, again, the agent-doxxed-and-then-attacked scenario the masks ostensibly are intended to prevent has never actually occurred.

Throughout this clip, Rep. Steil says over and over again that masking wouldn't be necessary if local governments cooperated with ICE. But that's nonsense. ICE is masking even in red states, even in places where there are 287(g) agreements, and even hiding their faces in photos taken at prisons!
REP. STEIL: Some Dems demands put at risk the safety of members of law enforcement

CNBC: You mean like taking off their masks and having a badge that shows who they are?

STEIL: Well, they're known to their supervisors

CNBC: No other law enforcement officials in the US are allowed to wear masks

NEW: Of all the states that voted for Harris over Trump in 2024, there's only one where a Dem governor is overseeing an ICE's 287(g) program:

Massachusetts.

Other blue states have quit, or even outright banned it. My colleague on what's happening: boltsmag.org/massachusett...

As part of a 287(g) contract between state officials and ICE, Massachusetts continues to release prisoners into deportation—even as state lawmakers look to ban other forms of ICE collaboration.

ICE is likely paying a premium to get the deal through quickly. E.g., in Hamburg, PA, the warehouse was purchased in 2024 for $57.5 million and sold to ICE for $87 million.

The real profit will come with the private prison companies and contractors hired to refurbish and staff these facilities.

I wrote about these warehouses in the context of Friday's Fifth Circuit mandatory-detention ruling over the weekend here: www.lawdork.com/p/fifth-circ...
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

Massachusetts is the only state run by Democrats that still partners with ICE. I dug into this and found that it’s had profound and very troubling consequences: at least 164 people funneled straight from state prisons to ICE since 2023 alone.

In Lviv, people take this tradition a step further. Most people the procession passes take a knee.
