MyoGeneratorRemix is a reimplementation of MyoGenerator (Herbst et al., 2022), a tool for muscle reconstruction and parameter estimation—essential for downstream analyses like FEA.

Our version brings major upgrades, including full compatibility with Blender 4.5.2.

Just got word from DAAD: they’re stopping payment of my PhD admin fees—no warning, no discussion. We came with a funding promise, and now benefits are being cut while fees, rent, and living costs abroad keep rising. Disheartening.

Will the AI industry form a new Phoebus cartel? In the early 20th century, bulb makers conspired to shorten lifespans—planned obsolescence. Now, after the AI boom, generous tiers are shrinking and access is tightening. Coincidence or collusion? Pass me the tinfoil hat!

Quiz will be available in the next release 😃
The questions are dynamically created using data from the PBDB according to your request. Questions about Geological time came from the last chart by the ICS

Due to Firebase's free-tier limits, I added ads to cover potential future costs (Where is my Fossil? stores user/event/paleontologist data). I dislike ads too, so I'm exploring an ad-free version that drops private DB access but keeps PBDB, Macrostrat, iDigBio, etc. Would you pay for that?

BFEX was updated to version 2.1! 🦴✨
A new feature now allows you to scale meshes to a target volume or size. This is especially useful when comparing FEA results across models of different dimensions (1/2)

So... Diogenes was right, the featherless chicken is a human since it fits the definition of a human and "looks like a human"

Genetically modifying a few members of an extant species to express traits of an extinct species is not "de-extinction". Dire wolves are still extinct. They aren't coming back. Conservation is the only way to keep species alive.
