The entire democratic world wishes Zelenskyy was their leader, so I would say he is doing an admirable job.

Carry on and Thank you for the example.

@stevebenen.com Drawing your attention to this story, Leland Dudek is running SSA now. ⏬️
New—Social Security Administration (SSA) Commissioner stepped down bc she wouldn't comply w/ DOGE. Lower-level staffer Leland Dudek replaced her.

In a now-deleted LinkedIn post (pre-promotion) shared w/ me, he said he was placed on admin leave bc he "circumvented the chain of command" to help DOGE.

Dear media:

Please do not waste time hyperventilating about this dumb comment.

It’s intended to be a distraction from all of the damaging actions he’s taking.

Focus on those.

Defending rule of law and democratic institutions was a loser for Ds because there isn't sufficient appetite for either right now. Could this change in the future? Possibly. But by then, the country may not resemble a democracy at all
Me: Because Democrats can't run to restore the rule of law and object to family pardons if they are breaking promises not to do what Biden just did.
You: Yeah, but besides that
If anyone has seen Nichols explain why he thinks this is a bad idea I would love to hear it.

Here’s a list of Trumps truly corrupt pardons

Easier said than done when you have a family, unfortunately. In normal times, a special secret service detail would undoubtedly be authorized for a family member of a prior POTUS who has faced serious, credible threats... but that obviously will not happen here
The right thing to do. And if I were Hunter, I would leave this country ASAP and get somewhere safe.
BREAKING NEWS:

President Biden has just pardoned his son Hunter Biden and has released a statement.

Who else agrees this was a good decision?

Whatever your opinion about the Hunter Biden pardon, if it gets more attention than the Kash Patel nomination, it is one more instance of a failure to distinguish between fundamental and trivial threats to the rule of law.

We’re not accepting complaints about the Hunter Biden pardon unless you also complained about the Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Paul Manafort pardons.

Prepare for non-MAGA media to endlessly debate the Hunter pardon for several news cycles, with panels filled with obligatory bothsidism. Meanwhile, reporting on Patel, RFK, Gabbard, Hegseth, Musk, etc., will be buried. If this were Trump/his son, Fox and other RW media would not give the story 2min.

Nichols: You have the makings of a not so slow motion authoritarian takeover of the United States government. And people ought to be really concerned about this.

News outlets are all for some reason emphasizing that Patel is a loyalist versus the more important fact that he’s an extremist and conspiracy theorist with no allegiance to the truth.
