This is so weird. I was INVESTED in this team.
They were gelling together with a 2020esque "defense first" approach with AD, Vando, DFS, Max, etc.
They were winning with still plenty of assets to add that 2nd big to play next to AD.
But now it's all gone. It's a brand new movie. I'm speechless.

You'd have defensive role players around Bron/Luka.
Luka would be an offense unto himself and generate open looks for everyone.
Luka carrying the offense would then allow Bron to focus more on defense - where he can be elite at whatever role the matchup dictates.
This is still a dangerous team.

I'm melancholy/pensive about this trade, but I disagree with the notion that this is a lost season for LA?
*Assuming* LA pivots to trade for a defensive big, a core with Bron, Luka, DFS, Vando, and Gabe/Rui/Knecht (whoever remains post-trade) is still a formidable foe in the playoffs.
