I started out making beaded jewelry, and I still do, but I love messing around with metal. I have only a few tools, and less skill, but every once in a while it works out. The dangles are 1mm lead free pewter, cut, embossed and painted by me, hung with lapis lazuli rondelles, & some little accents.

I struggle with photography. I gravitate to plain white backgrounds with no props. I really only care that my jewelry in photos aligns with what my eyes see IRL, but I also know pics are important in grabbing attention, and it's only seconds until a potential buyer clicks away. Testing new ideas 💜

So apparently, one of my pieces that I submitted to one of the shows here in Eureka at the Redwood Art Association was granted an Award of Merit in their annual Summer Exhibition.

So a lot of people ask me about copper and if it gets darker. Yes, it does and it's lovely. I love how it developed a patina and I think it goes beautifully with the stones. Copper cleans up like Sterling silver does. Always keep your jewelry in a dry environment when not being worn.

Still struggling with how to use this platform, I but don't think I want to engage solely for marketing. That said, I have been in a funk lately and haven't been making or doing much social media, and today, I made some earrings, so I decided to post them here. Not listed yet, but I'll get to that!

Just doing 11x17, because my work looks best when it's big. So much more detail and color. Plus it's limited edition, signed, certed, and printed in-studio on an 8-color printer.

My mom was a teacher. Before she retired, she got her masters. She recruited Adult Me to help with some assignments, one a "right brain/left brain" test. We got a kick out of the results-I was down the middle. Made sense-I struggle with both creative & analytical endeavors & enjoy both. Who else?

First post. Sometimes I run. This past weekend, I actually ran in the Austin Cap10k and got a medal! OK everyone got a medal 😅. First 10k in 15 years. It was Sunday, and today is Wednesday, and I'm just now almost able to walk normally. What did I learn? Always do the hard thing even when it's hard.
