Apart from the sunk cost/time what is keeping you from switching to a more open program?

At first glance I'd've said that was a photograph. Great job

I had the same thought, if you ban it under 16 years, you'd have to ban it over 66 too. It's not like pensioners need social contact with their peers 🙄
Or we take the SM companies to task on their pusher like attitudes and educate on SM unhealthy effects.
I guess thats too much effort and investment

@racesimcentral.net I noticed your RSS feed stopped working, is there a new url, or did you discontinue the whole thing?

But Nvidia is making chips, that's like calling time on the train bubble by looking at coal sales.

Because they are programmed with all of mankind's knowledge and as it's a machine, it can't make errors.

Or it might just be that it tells them what they want to here.

Why did I think that was a band of miscreants on the run after robbing a store?

Initial ignorance and contractual obligation? Usually, word about collaborations gets out after they've already progressed to level where new information can't be acted on that decisively.

It's a variation on the theme of, assume incompetence not maliciousness.

I've noticed that the Birrin craft usually have propfans, is there a reason for that?

Plenty of them are still around. They tend to be niche, which I think is what also keeps them alive. They are hard to find because slop sites have much more aggressive SEO.
So share them if you got them, I suppose.

They themselves are the joke. Science is a slow messy process if you look under the hood. As pop-sci outlets it should be there job to make that understandable to the populace at large. Yet they go for the clicks, so much for being journalists.

Why learn if you got an universal translator. On second thought the Klingon language pack may have been overpriced on the Ferengi version.

I mean, it's not that far off a Stewart Cowley ship as is. Put in a starfield and give it some lighttrails and you are 95% there.

Is that supposed to be a sonic boom mitigation design? The translation of the caption isn't really clear.

What's the inclination of the orbit. It seems quite low relative to the ecliptic.

This question inspired by that great mosaic fanart from a couple of days ago.

How detailed have you worked out the Birrin histories before the pre fall high tec era?

@jacobvett.bsky.social Do you still work on Life in the Black? If so what is the current website?

I asked around some more and one lead I got is that it is from a magazine called Race News. It's too generic a title for any search engine to find. I figured I'd let you know, maybe can make more use of the info than me.
