Hello! Be at peace, work hard. Find humor, kindness, and grace. I’m a Great Lakes Stater!
That mixed doubles curling semi was as thrilling as sports gets. I love the Olympics.

You can assume all my SNL comments have an unwritten “Sarah Sherman is a comedy goddess that brings X, Millennials, and Z together with silliness” tag.

SNL has had a rooough stretch lately but the Skarsgård episode was pretty solid.

Ashley Padilla has been a bright spot, she’s a perfect sketch comedy performer.

Just sitting here wasting time on a Saturday, casually positing an idea that would take the Lions to a championship. Someone out there has to know Danny C a little. Or Sheila. Get in their ear(s). Hot yoga = cold weather parade.

Or just build your own hot yoga place in Allen Park. I’m no expert, but it’s my understanding that NFL franchises actually do net their respective owners a tidy profit most years.
January 31, 2026 at 10:44 PM
The Lions need to partner with the hot yoga place near WDET and have full 90-minutes sessions 3-4 days a week. Flexibility, balance, and focus are *exactly* what we were missing, and our injuries would be cut by a huge margin.

I saw Wayne State players back when I was in there a lot. They knew!

I bet you do this 5 times you get at least 1 show that gets greenlit. Guess it’s a shame I’m juuuust too old to feel comfortable going back to improv.
January 31, 2026 at 10:34 PM
For authenticity, after every 3-4 story points a player must interject with, “Thanks, almost forgot we had THAT to deal with.”
January 31, 2026 at 10:34 PM
I’m fully convinced you could reverse engineer a Netflix show by doing a group improv game where you pretend you’re in one of those very Netflix “restate exposition by each character contributing two lines to a long, run-on sentence” scenes.

I’m very happy for the people of IU. Their team’s drastic, quick improvement was obvious since even before last season, but this is beyond what I think anyone who wasn’t part of their staff could imagine. Indiana! Football?! It still hasn’t fully set in. Good for them. 3 straight B1G titles!

Buying the W for Indiana tonight.

My “give shrooms to dolphins and whales and see if we can develop cetacean sapiens” idea looks better each week.

Like, I know I'm a huge part of the problem too but c'mon.

I had a fun realization today: every big institution of any kind — every single one; educational, religious, governmental, entertainment — into which I put any trust, hope, and/or love has either majorly let me down or downright disgusted me.

I don’t root for individuals to fail in sports but I’m making an exception for Diego Pavia. I want his career as a motivational speaker to start next week.

Welp, my country's leaders have proven again that the collective called the USA has no steadfast principles beyond a genuine, grotesque appreciation of greed.

Guess there's a small chance they'll make gas cheaper to make the dictatorship go down easier.

I don't like living in interesting times.

The #Lions need to take a very serious look at — and likely overhaul — their entire sports fitness program. Two years in a row we have an elite, Supe-worthy team derailed by a huge amount of season-ending injuries. Fact: Henry Ford Health does poorly at injury prevention in pro athletes.

Weirdly sad sign of times: it’s getting less weird when a seemingly normal person at work casually reveals themselves to be a Kennedy Jr. “health” bozo. I was told by two different people to switch to raw milk yesterday.

Big ups to me for being ahead of the "Heisman trophy is irrelevant" take. I've been saying that since 2009 when Mark Ingram, Colt McCoy and the immortal Toby Gerhart placed ahead of Ndamukong Suh, by far the most outstanding player that season. Tbh I can name 5/10 last Heisman winners, if that.

I was watching old Jiminy Glick and I think Ice Cube may have "Jim'd" the camera years before The Office.

If you're as stoked as I am about this new James L. Brooks movie make sure to do 5-10 minutes of stretches every single morning.

Another ostensibly quality W that somehow only feels 98% as filling as similar wins from the last few years. This team has a (slightly) higher, but still palpable, degree of sloppiness. And we’re streakier than ol’ Norid Radd himself surfing through the cosmos! Ay-yi-yi, gang.
My favorite bit in the NFL is Dan Campbell being the only coach who actually answers the questions at halftime and then as some karmic reward those things happening immediately after his interview ends

Overjoyed that State hired Fitzgerald. The road back to the top has begun.

I’m officially worried about the Lions getting their asses kicked when they visit Soldier Field.
