Ledeman died in 2018. He sold his Nobel Prize in 2015.
He had served as president of the board of sponsors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (who set, update and publish the Doomsday Clock) https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/current-time/. Also wrote 1993 book The God Particle establishing the popularity of the term for the Higgs boson. Leon Lederman, an experimental physicist who studied subatomic particles has died at 96 after selling his Nobel Prize for $765,000 at an auction to help pay his medical bills. (By AP West Region).
