When I first became Mayor 12 years ago, listening to Detroit residents was a top priority as our city began to change. Thanks to residents like Marilyn Winfrey who invited me into their homes, we were able to have meaningful conversations about the future of our neighborhoods.

Detroit serving as your mayor has been the honor of my lifetime. For 12 years, we rolled up our sleeves together, neighbors, block clubs, businesses, faith leaders, and families and proved what’s possible when Detroit believes in itself.

That's why the Pilot Ordinance Program makes it easier than ever to build affordable housing. In addition, there's 47 projects and 450 million already approved.

Today, Detroit, we celebrate that the Detroit Health Department’s Rides to Care program has delivered 20,000+ free roundtrip rides since last year, helping women who are pregnant and caregivers of infants up to 1 year old get to vital prenatal and postnatal appointments.
