I estimate that I have not had a Subway sub in at least the last 14 years. No particular reason why other than the fact that my wife does not care for them. I had an offer for a free one as a Disney+ subscriber so I decided to see what was up with ol’ Subway for lunch. A few observations…

How Capitalism is supposed to work: T-Mobile creates a tool that easily allows consumers to compare their current AT&T plan to one on the T-Mobile network. If consumers like what they see, T-Mobile makes it easy to switch to their product. AT&T responds by improving their products and services.
T-Mobile disables automated switching app for AT&T customers
T-Mobile stops automated version of Easy Switch for AT&T customers after legal challenge, while Verizon says the tool raises customer privacy concerns.

TFW you are just casually listening to VNV Nation and thinking about nothing when Ronan cracks you across the base of the skull with some sad as fuck lyrics.

I dunno. Maybe if he actually went to bed instead of staying up all night posting on Truth Social this wouldn’t be a problem.

I know, I know. Crazy talk.
Trump dozes while Marco Rubio speaks to him directly next to him. Just insane optics.

There is literally not a day that goes by when I don’t want to scream “this is why you don’t send living documents as attachments!!!!”

Honestly? The best uses I have seen for AI revolve around doing those things that executives used to have secretaries for. Watch any old school TV show with a business angle - the boss would tell the secretary to send a letter about x and just add the standard polite fluff to it.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

My toxic GenX trait is struggling to take a sick day because it might inconvenience your co-workers and get you fired.

It's not too late for me to set a goal of playing all the Shakespearian kings, is it?

I am incredibly frustrated by the fact that the local theater community is pretty much beholden to Facebook and Instagram and that getting information about upcoming shows and auditions essentially requires you to be on that service.

I realize my local reach here on Bluesky is pretty limited, but here's a few rehearsal images from So Long Life, opening Friday at the LAB Theater Project. Tickets available here - www.zeffy.com/ticketing/so...

And I am officially on yet another medication. Blood thinners now. Turns out when you had a stroke in your 20’s
and AFib after major surgery it makes doctors a little twitchy.

I genuinely do not comprehend why otherwise intelligent and competent professionals cannot grasp the concept of working in shared documents.

There are certain inalienable truths about actors. We all say we hate pre-casting until we are the ones being pre-cast, and we all scoff at awards ceremonies until we are the ones nominated.

People used to shit on Wikipedia and now it is one of the few sources of information on the internet fighting back against AI. Ironic, that.
wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...
Wikipedia Says AI Is Causing a Dangerous Decline in Human Visitors
“With fewer visits to Wikipedia, fewer volunteers may grow and enrich the content, and fewer individual donors may support this work.”

I'm currently in rehearsals for a play in which I am portraying a 60-year-old retired actor who has late stage early onset Alzheimer's disease. My father died at 58 from cancer and showed signs of dementia during his final days.

Sometimes art hits a bit close to home.
