It’s just disgraceful that the US hasn’t sent a delegation to COP30. An absolute act of vandalism. Possibly the very worst of the many awful things Trump is responsible for.

Starting out on Kafka’s The Castle. Excited. Opening pages are great - a continual sense of the strange and surreal from the outset. Metamorphosis is without doubt one of the greatest things I’ve ever read, so high expectations here too! #writingcommunity

Finished reading The Narrow Road to the Deep North by Richard Flanagan. A really good book, often powerful and moving. Didn’t find it to be the great masterpiece some say it is, but nevertheless a fine novel. #writingcommunity

There is a beautiful sycamore tree outside my office window. I love gazing at it and also seeing what birds come and perch in it (mainly crows). First pic is beginning September, second beginning October. Will post a pic each month so can see the changes!
