The city should buy this portfolio and leverage Prop I revenue to make it happen. This would be consistent with the vision of the voters, the BOS, and our office in passing Prop I in 2020. Let’s seize the opportunity to jumpstart a real social housing program and do this now!

The City should acquire the Fillmore Safeway lot for a grocery store & affordable housing, as I have called for alongside community leaders. Eminent domain was used to destroy this community and could be used now to benefit the community. The City should do right by the Fillmore and buy the lot now.

Yesterday, the Board of Supervisors approved our legislation to ban private security guards from drawing firearms to stop shoplifting. Yesterday, the Board of Supervisors approved our legislation to ban private security guards from drawing firearms to stop shoplifting.
