On the harm that the Tennessee ban has already wrought.
My pal @kristenchapman.bsky.social is quoted: “I personally feel like if your child comes to you and says, ‘This is who I am, this is what I need,’ your job as a parent is to support them in that.”

I wrote this ode to a burger joint near my hometown in rural Oklahoma before the election, but the piece is about nostalgia's role in the state's conservative impulses, and maybe more resonant today www.eater.com/24235044/mee...

If Nancy Mace wants to keep sex criminals out of bathrooms in federal buildings she should introduce a bill to mandate Donald Trump use a port-o-potty in the Rose Garden.

So it turns out that several conservative justices are on the record that Trump's demand to appoint his entire Cabinet by recess appointment is unconstitutional https://buff.ly/3Z9KdTW

RFK announcement puts a fine point on something I've been trying to articulate and is a theme of the Trump years. It's something I've wrestled with and that a lot of Dem messaging has gotten wrong. Part of what Trump does is constantly divide the country along the lines of pro-system and anti-system

To state the very obvious, this would put an avowed anti-vaxxer in charge of vaccines, allowing him to thwart the development and approval of life-saving shots. It's almost too horrific to fathom—a potential death sentence for our families and children. It's lethal. www.politico.com/news/2024/11...
