This prerelease fixes a regression that prevented users from exporting their SVGs to the supported raster image formats (PNG, JPEG, and WebP). All users are recommended to upgrade.

GodSVG, my free and open source SVG editor, is releasing a new alpha tomorrow! The biggest new feature will be a new optional area of the layout, where you'll be able to preview your SVG at various sizes.

I'll be releasing GodSVG alpha 12 in two days.

I've decided to bundle a fallback font for CJK, which adds 1 MB to the executable. I've decided it's worth it for fixing Simplified Chinese translations on Web and their performance on Desktop platforms.

Did you know GodSVG's numeric fields evaluate their inputs? Aside from things like basic calculations and trig functions, they can use a lot of the GDScript language's features, such as RNG. 🎲

I have touched up GodSVG's evaluator for the upcoming alpha! Now any field lets you evaluate the selected text. You can also use any capitalization of constants pi, tau, e, phi.

If you find any use case in SVG for Euler's number or the golden ratio, please let me know! 😵‍💫

I've been working on small improvements and polish for the 11th alpha of GodSVG, my free and open source SVG editor. It's going to be a big release.

You can now easily open files and folders in the file manager from the custom built-in file dialog.

New in GodSVG: A preview canvas so you can actually see selection rectangles, handles, grid colors, etc. while you tweak their settings.

Last week I worked on demystifying GodSVG's settings menu. Instead of adding descriptions to my formatting and theming settings, I've added something I believe is much better. 🌥️

I've seen several Godot developers now annoyed that they have to either silence the warning or clutter their global signal list with warning_ignore. If that's you, use warning_ignore_start and warning_ignore_restore (version 4.4 or higher).

GodSVG, my free and open source SVG editor made in Godot, will introduce configurable theming in alpha 11. Aside from the dark and light presets, there is a BLACK theme preset.

OLED users rejoice! Or maybe you don't use OLED and just like this one most?

Even if you prefer dark themes, someday you might need GodSVG while out in a bright sunny area, then you'll be glad this feature exists 🌅

Currently working on GodSVG theme customization! The default presets will be the default dark theme, a new light theme, and black (OLED). 🌄 🌌

But I've also made it so you can use all the disgusting color combinations your hearts desire!
