I KNOW that the responsibility should be on the parent and not the companies/government to babysit our kids.
I KNOW that age verification is inherently flawed, and a massive security risk.

What if platforms similar to discord could claim the safe harbor act on Age Verification laws, and therefore pass the responsibility of age certification down onto more indie community managers?
That way, there isn't the risk of one mega website storing your-

It is saying that in most cases that data gets deleted immediately after age confirmation, and only in the exceptional cases would it be only quickly deleted.

Unlike Google and Microsoft, I don't think Discord has the goal you mentioned here, especially since there is the claim that the data sent gets deleted.
If the database actually gets trimmed, then yeah. No surveillance is possible because there is no longer an ID in the database.
