Today I have to write a letter for a patient to give to get landlord regarding certain repairs. They let her go 5 days without AC in August, in FLORIDA. She's epileptic.

Reminder that poverty isn't the fault of poor people. Poor people are some of the hardest working people in this country. Poverty is a direct result of the ultra wealthy hoarding wealth and exploiting people for labor.

So, the doctor called out sick today. I figured it would be a great day to get caught up on paperwork. Our EMR apparently had other plans. It doesn't want to load charts or sometimes just not let me log in.

Important reminder that while LGBTQIA+ people can climb back into a closet and many people can mask their neurodivergence when they feel unsafe, BIPOC cannot change their skin.
If your autism makes the world feel unsafe, imagine adding racial profiling, systemic bias, and historical neglect. Comparing struggles across race without context erases real harm. Be mindful. Be humble.
