Kind of hoping I get a job at the university where my twin works so that we can confuse HR, student employees, entire departments, AND swap places on rare occasion. I would much rather be shelf reading than doing student conduct.

Being in your 30s is great!!! Every chronic illness that has ever been diagnosed in your family pops out to say hello, you tweak your back getting out of bed, and your hair changes texture in the most random spots.

My new strategy is to hug my cats whenever they do strange little orange behaviors. So far Merry has responded with plaintive wailing while Pippin thinks it’s business as usual.

Job searching in higher ed is great. I want to escape now, but because it would literally kill me to leave my student staff in the lurch for a semester, I have to wait until next semester.
