i think if you want to have those disgusting LED headlights on your car, you should have to do a test where they blast you point blank with your own headlights and then you have 15 seconds to successfully complete some sort of vision-based task, and if you can't do it they push your car off a cliff

I tend to change my writing to fit the POV character’s voice, but if that character ever says they’re not going to do something, know that I’m in the wings ready to clown them

i've followed this show since the moment its casting was announced, read the book, loved it, and was so so so excited when it started broadcasting this month. it wrapped last night for vips and i cannot believe i can say that this is one of the best cdramas of all time. i'm not even kidding.
finally finished 入青云 by 白鹭成双 which the upcoming drama love in the clouds is based on and: oh my god. the pangs?! what the fuck. once it hits ch70 it does not let up. rife w/ political scheming which i LOVED. liar4liar redflag4redflag cp whose dynamic was at first trashy fun until it suddenly WAS NOT

We say he "taught us," but in NO WAY do we have the skills to replicate what he did. The knife skills ALONE were incredible. The tenderloin itself was so good I finally understood why in books beef wellington is such a big deal.
Our regular catsitter, who also works in fine dining, came over today to teach us to make Beef Wellington. Six and a half hours of labour later I finally understand why this costs so much at restaurants, why my single attempt several years ago failed so badly, and what an incredible friend we have.

#loveintheclouds has shown me definitively that I am a shallow person, because even if this show weren't good (which it is, tbh), I'd still be tuning in daily for the pretty. I don't have screenshots bc they'd all just be hou minghao and lu yuxiao in different outfits and lighting. 10/10 NO REGRETS!
