I love books, music, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and animals.
I have an MLIS and an Archival Administration certificate but currently work in a non-librarian/non-archivist position at a university library.
We need more leaders to do this.
I am just so fucking proud of her.

What strikes me as terrifying is how many of the current CEO's are taking the worse corporate idea's from Movies in the 80's and 90's and making them a reality. What was supported to be warnings turned into aspirations for them.

I can't think of a better way to prove they are truly Evil.

I was fourteen years old the first time I was warned from the pulpit that persecution was coming and that someday I might soon have to die for my faith.

Good for her, and for Boston.
Last week, Boston received a letter from AG Bondi threatening to prosecute officials and withhold funds unless we cooperate with carrying out mass deportations.

The US Attorney General asked for a response by today, so here it is: stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures.

It's a bit late, but I had this idea at work today and had to wait until I got home to put it together:

The Trump administration needs to fix this and needs to be prevented from doing it ever again.

These are the same people who are banning books to "protect children". It's a lie. They want to control, not to protect. Let everybody know.

On this day in 1911,146 workers died in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.

The bosses responsible were never held accountable for the awful working conditions that sparked the blaze.

Remember this today as politicians and their corporate backers attack workplace safety.

I wrote about the practical strategic necessity of doing "impossible" things, the moral and strategic emptiness of making the middle your destination, and the way persuasion requires vision, and vision requires standing for something.

I just emailed my representatives about the decimation of IMLS. The wording is right here in the ALA statement "I request that you visit the libraries that serve your constituents and urge the White House to spare the modest federal funding for America’s libraries." #booksky #libraries #literacy
President Trump's executive order to eliminate the Institute of Museum & Library Services would have disastrous effects for communities nationwide. We call on all Americans who value reading & learning to reach out to their elected leaders.
