Literally just stepped off stage at #WTSFest Philly after my session on AI and content.

The key takeaway: Don't let the bots order your cheesesteak. They'll always sound like tourists.
Writing poetry again is changing how I see content and UX.

Users don't experience "features" or "funnels." They experience relief, confusion, trust, friction, shame, and delight.

Poetry trains the same skill: naming the feeling precisely, then earning it with words.

Who is paying for Claude Max? The $100 or $200/month plan? Is it worth it? Are you hitting capacity at either level? I really want to use Opus 4.5 more but trying to determine if my usage makes the spend worth it.

I really don't know why folks are up in arms about ads in ChatGPT... and other AI really. We all knew this was coming. They all are racing to find ways to monetize and take advantage of people who don't know how to LLMs/AI works. Ads are just another way to do that.

Everyone is racing to "optimize for AI." Fine. Play with schema and AI search. But if your content and UX are on fire, you're just decorating a house with no plumbing.

Oh, look what Evernote is doing, they KNOW they are going to lose loyal subscribers doing this...
January 13, 2026 at 3:04 PM
Bending Spoons buying Evernote has been literally one of the worst downgrades in product I have ever seen relative to cost. $100+ increase in my annual subscription after an already double increase the year before? Yeah, time for something new.

I am back working under duress. Two weeks off is nice. Holidays are nice. Work is nice, too, but I wish I could finally win the lottery and today reminds me of that.

First time that’s ever happened in team history.
