Prehistoric Journey

The completed drawing, done using colored markers. The characters' species are Dimetrodon and Gorgonops. They have travelled by sea in the hopes of observing the effects of the volcanic eruptions up close...

I dont ussually post my works in progress, but here's a drawing I've been working on based on a short story I'm writing. I'm drawing on prehistory, the Permian period specifically, as inspiration for species and setting. The line art could use some work in places, but I plan to add color to it next.

You can learn a lot just by looking at great art every day. You also get a lot of new inspiration. Have a list of 40-50 favorite artworks and look through some of them of them for 10 min every day. There's a lot to discover and it helps to develop an intuition.

Take a few minutes to appreciate Drew Struzan creating the original artwork for THE PHANTOM MENACE. Truly a master at work.

Fan art of Elder Hartley and Elder Suarez from visual novel Campo Largo by @toledo.bsky.social . I liked the character designs and wanted to try drawing them in my style- along with the animals they are based on.

Drawings of some characters from a story idea I had. I enjoyed working on these but my line art and shading will really need practice to get to where I'd like

Art is just so fucking cool. I love scrolling my feed here and seeing piece after piece of what feels like the true universal language of humanity. Even if we don't share the same words you can draw a picture of something that matters to you and I will feel it in some way. I love that connection.

Really enjoyed working on this one! I've been meaning to do more with my digital drawing tablet for a while, and I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

... and Campo Largo Build 1 is live!

Elder Travis Hartley, a deer on his mission in South America, has been entrusted with a new companion in a new town.

He knows who he is and why he's here. He's right on track.

Until... things start happening. Things he can't explain...

A new short documentary follows two people who met in virtual reality, as furries, who go on to complete a viscerally physical exchange: one donates a kidney to the other.
How the Bonds Among Virtual-Reality Furries Saved a Life, in “The Reality of Hope”
The short film follows a friendship in the V.R.-furry community which turns into a radical act of generosity.

A Chronicle of Lies is a great read if you like dragons! Drew this because it's "cereal" fiction, lol
The Chronicle of Lies fanart is getting more and more surreal lately, lol. Drawn by @mehveart.bsky.social !

A drawing of a dragon character from a story idea I had. I've been enjoying working with markers, but I could certainly stand to improve in my art quite a bit.
