It's time for another end of the month book appreciation round-up! Books continue to be a balm for me. No matter the day, I can end it with at least 5 minutes of reading (except for last night when I was too jazzed about the Survivor premiere and also too tired when it ended at 10 pm to read)

The last line made me laugh out loud and I am obligated to share any piece that makes me LOL and literally LOL

Imagine being a billionaire and not finding joy every day with just giving your money away. Like, every day you could walk up to a small nonprofit, hand them $100k, and walk away knowing you'd just hugely changed people's lives. How broken would you have to be for that NOT to be what you chose?

First up, In Between Bookstore -- a fun take on the "if you could go back in time and talk to your younger self, what would you say" trope. Similar vibes to the movie My Old Ass
The In-Between Bookstore a book by Edward Underhill
"What would you tell your teen self if you could go back in time? Underhill's tender, innovative debut is the smartest take on this trope I've ever read. . . and for the record, I read it in a single ...

The joy of winter break as a kid is still deeply ingrained in me. We've reached Dec. 20 and I'm feeling a deep need to make cookies, check out a stack of books from the library, and follow no routines until 2025.

See you next year! (a joke I loved to say in elementary school + still do)

Read so many picture books this year -- was surprised by how many were so affecting and emotional. Thankful for an equal number of funny ones to keep things in balance
