Imo it would be FINE if Buttigieg said, "hey, some folks have fallen for anti-trans propaganda from the far right around sports, and we have an obligation to help them understand why that propaganda is hateful and false."

As a non-tech normie, I see AI being marketed all the time as a tool to write things for you. I think that's got to be a function of tech people feeling uncomfortable with writing and the idea of having a machine do it for them is obvious. But I don't know other ways it's being deployed.

I was having this problem with my chocolate shortbread, kept thinking it would spread out so just dropped it on the sheet Willy nilly, and then they came out of the oven looking like little turds. Once I figured out I should shape them just a little bit, they were much more appetizing.

Listening to this morning’s Stay Tuned with @preetbharara.bsky.social was frustrating but ultimately a good exercise. As Preet and Neal parried over university cancel culture, it helped me sharpen and clarify my thoughts on why Niall’s position that “cc is ruining universities” is the incorrect one.

A downside of turning off phone notifications is that I had no idea the #Oscars nominees were announced. Conclave as a Best Picture nominee?? And what’s Anora again?

There’s a whole discussion about appreciating the art vs the artists, but fantasy work is tied so deeply to its creator and it’s more difficult to separate the two.
