Hey hey team #mealioidosis - (Infectious Disease, public health, anyone who still believes that vaccines work)-- donate starting tomorrow!
5 years ago I started a team competition on Twitter to raise $ to fight hunger.

@tmprowell.bsky.social gave us a hashtag & much needed organization

Our team of teen volunteers work wonders in the background & we’ve raised >$3.1 million!

Competition starts tomorrow, join us?

Someone may have stolen my little food pantry, but now I can put all that effort into #HCWvsHunger!!!

We ready #MedSky #EpiSky #NurseSky?!
I have been re-stocking it as so many have been using it. Today, someone stole my entire little food pantry, container and all.

I may have lost all hope in this world. Gutted.

#MedSky #NurseSky #EpiSky
Having to chose between rent and food at one point myself, I don’t want anyone to feel the same way.

Set up my own little free pantry. I know it’s not the solution, but doing what I can to care for my community.

To combat all my feelings regarding *gestures widely* I’ve channeled my energy into starting a new trail running hobby (in addition to my usual long distance running).

Finished my first ever trail race! 25k!

Highly recommend! There’s lots of snacks involved!

Y’all.

One of my most favorite humans who is also an incredible author wrote another book and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll preorder it today.

And if you haven’t read her first, get it now so you’re ready.

You won’t regret it. I promise.
So #medsky, the secret is out. BIG NEWS!! I am sooo very excited to share my thoughts on healing that truly honors the body’s wisdom and innate healing. I’ve learned so much in the process of writing this. I hope it can be a companion in your journey, as a healer or someone who is seeking healing ❤️‍🩹

ACOG reaffirms that acetaminophen is safe for managing pain and fever during pregnancy. No reputable studies support suggestions like those in HHS’s recent announcement linking acetaminophen use in pregnancy to autism; in fact, high-quality studies show no such risk. https://bit.ly/47Wxc59

Impact of vegetarian diet on cancer risk

“These data indicate a lower risk in vegetarians for all cancers combined, as well as for medium-frequency cancers as a group. Specific cancers with evidence of lower risk are breast, colorectal, prostate, stomach, and lymphoproliferative subtypes.”
Longitudinal associations between vegetarian dietary habits and site-specific cancers in the Adventist Health Study-2 North American cohort
Associations between vegetarian diets and risk of common cancers are somewhat understood, but such data on medium-frequency cancers are scarce and oft…

For the first time in my career, I’ve taken a step back professionally to take care of myself personally.

Being a HCW means it is nearly impossible to be our best selves both personally and professionally. That needs to change.

Can’t wait for the full debut

This is a teaser for a video that the Academy of Emergency Medicine is helping put together. A powerful message about the reality of healthcare in US now. Applies to all the actual frontline, hands-on, taking care of patients people in healthcare.
