I’m seeing today’s court ruling as an opportunity to teach more in schools about the Equality Act 2010. If you are a boy, a girl, a trans kid, you are welcome alongside all the protected characteristics. You can be you and be assured that you belong in my class. You are safe here. #NoOutsiders

Whatever happens, never forget: READING FOR PLEASURE has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So always make time to share books with kids, and help them find books to love. Make reading central to everything you do. It will change their lives forever!

When you ask people about the books that changed their lives, they almost always mention a children's book. They're the books that make us readers, shape us at the deepest levels, and stay with us FOREVER. That's why I think children's books are the most important books of all! #kidlit #books
