🚨 Martin Zubimendi is finally an Arsenal player.

A transfer not just months, but years in the making.

Here’s the story of the deal, for @theathleticfc.bsky.social

Martin Zubimendi is an Arsenal player… finally
Arsenal's interest in Zubimendi goes back to 2019-20. He came close to joining last summer but 12 months on, Mikel Arteta now has his man

Arsenal FC is promoting a murderous regime - and making money from it. Time to ditch the "VISIT RWANDA" partnership, which should never have been struck to start with, and bin those shirts.

the FA/ FIFA rules in place: "Gesturing/ acting in a provocative, derisory or inflammatory way" is a yellow card when celebrating a goal. This leaves it up to interpretation, so the rules will be applied inconsistently.

Masks (Auba), shirt over head (Arshavin) celes would be yellows, sad.

I fucking love this football club… 🤣

First time a Guardiola side has conceded five goals and also lost by a margin as high as four goals.

Huge Arsenal win, in a few senses.

As a side note to this…. Mikel Arteta has brought something back to this club that we were missing for way too long. The connection between the fans and the players we have now makes a win like today mean something.
Winning trophies is great, but the great thing about being a football supporter is that, sometimes, one game is all you need to remind you why you do this. Today was one of those games. Fuck City, and fuck all of those that have made the game it is today. AMF. UTA.

Glad to see the Lewis Skelly red is being roundly condemned but we can’t treat it as a black swan event or a one off aberration. Webb is trying to create a culture of referees being stars and it needs to stop and it needs to be called out.

When Lamina was sent off the whole away end still sang ‘Michael Oliver it’s all about you.’ Football fans are sick and tired of these remedial individuals ruining games and making it all about them. Both red cards did not need to happen at all. So fucking sick of it.

At this point, serious questions have to be asked about Michael Oliver. I'll start: is he biased, corrupt or just utterly incompetent?

And if PGMOL attempt to defend that decision, they might as well declare that they're not fit for purpose.

Last season vs Manchester City. Kovacic tackles Ødegaard with studs above the ankle. Michael Oliver's decision? Yellow card.

Kovacic later commits another foul and he doesn't send him off.

If it's not PGMOL being incompetent, it's corruption.
