Was told I shouldn’t be flying with my 3 month old by a member of staff at BER. Oh the ignorance of people who probably live very close to all their friends and family. 😡

Just looked up how to book to take my not even 3 month old from Berlin - London by train in a few months time, assuming she would be free. €91. 😒 Are they even trying?!

One great thing about being 39 weeks pregnant is that even the most German of German cafe owners don’t stop you going in just to use the toilet.

Trying to book a nice spa hotel near Berlin for my birthday and the options are so depressing. Anywhere that looks half nice has really terrible food options. For example one place is charging €36,50 for a lasagne. Is there anywhere in the whole of Italy even that would charge that for a lasagne?!

We were woken up by big fire in our building this morning (everyone is fine, the flat it started in is not) and while we all waited on the street to be let back in a Polizist came to ask all our details. “Ausweis, bitte” he said to me and my first reaction was to laugh as I thought he was joking…

My rule of of thumb for working out whether a restaurant will take card payment in Berlin is how much Denglish is on the website.

What do you do to get out of the house on a Sunday in Berlin when it’s minus freezing degrees outside? Museums are €€€, shops are shut, cafes are packed. Pls help a gal have less depressing winter weekends here.

Where do you buy nice bathroom furniture/storage in Germany? Most of what I’ve found so far makes me want to poke my eyes out.

Lots of German brands use English words now especially for trending topics such as vegan food, which in theory is fine. But Rewe have built a whole marketing campaign around their new “plant-base” food truck 🤦♀️ How much would it have cost to ask a native speaker to check over the wording?
