My #American friends: a foreigner's view: your media is either one or the other. Until there's balanced reporting, those Rep or Dem positions will remain ingrained, whatever 47 gets up to. Until at least the 40% of Americans (& thus their elected reps) open their eyes, nothing will change.

The BBC news this morning giving great credence to 47's ramblings on Chagos, most probably as a stick to hit KS with. The media in general need to stop taking the orange buffoon so seriously. They need to scoff, to mock, to openly expose him for the raving fascist lunatic that he is. #bbc #fucktrump

I read an interesting post by Billy Bragg earlier about 47. He argues that we shouldn't use the term "fascism" as US policy is not dogmatic but rather driven by his megalomania & vanity, though he does accept that racial bias is resurfacing (if it ever went away). Not sure I agree.

That Machado woman could not have made the journey from hero to zero any faster.

As interesting as what he says is, I'm more taken with HOW he says it, and how he presents himself as a serious, thoughtful leader. The contrast to his southern equivalent could not be more stark.
Mark Carney basically explaining that the US under Trump is destabilising the world and that a new world order for trade is being created

Don't Americans understand how much damage Trump is doing to the international world order, and that it'll take years to repair and rebuild relations of trust?

I think it's always been like this at Everton the only difference is social media has amplified it 1000 fold. I get the impatience (1995) but we really are at ground zero of a rebuild right now. I get frustrated and have a moan but like most blues I know we are basically on solid ground at least.

Seriously, all those blaming Moyes for his selection I'd love to know what else he could've done. Patterson got his arse handed to him for an hour last week, then was cooked. Rohl is a trainee. Honestly, who else?

I cannot believe the idiotic reactions of some on here. That was never red for Keane in a trillion years. And then the ref lost control. Yet you'd think our players were automata. The game's gone. It's fkn stupid. All joy has been tucked out of it. But don't turn on our own.

The game has gone.

@ottoenglish.bsky.social the scariest thing about this #Venezuela stuff is that it's clear from their responses that even moderate voices are seduced by the possibilities of Trumpian empire building. Like priests in a brothel, they're tempted, oh so very tempted.

Yes, Maduro's a cnt. But what about all the other cnts around the world? Oh, yes, I remember, they don't have oil.

Mirror on-line - NO report of last night's game. Mail online - the crappiest, repetitive, "phoned in" report, including these assessments. The focus on Sly Six clubs is getting so tedious. Nobody else gets a look in. #efc #utft #coyb

How is the penalty West Ham got tonight any different to the one we didn't get on Saturday? #efc #binvar

To all my fellow bipolar Blues, I refuse to get over excited about that performance tonight. But we're going to win the league. #utft #efc #coyb

There isn’t a conspiracy against Everton
We are making progress
We won’t win every match
We are worse when our best players are missing
It’s ok to feel sad when we don’t win
It’s good to understand why we didn’t
There is no short cut to success, it’s a process and takes time
Enjoy your evening

Whatever the bipolar, naysayer Blues may spout about this evening, and not even having seen the game, I'm absolutely NOT disappointed with a point away from home, with so many out, to a team fighting for their lives. It's only football, lads. #utft #efc #coyb

Merry Christmas to all my fellow Blues, open-minded, left-leaning and wonderful fellow Blueskyers. Ideal 2026: Trump dies, Everton qualify for Europe, I stick to a diet.

As a Brit, observing Trump and his awfulness, I'm genuinely shocked that over a third of Americans still support him. In fact, I'm horrified.
WOW. Trump's approval rating is now 36%. And I don't remember ever seeing him underwater with white people.

Take yesterday as an example. Best CB out, CB at RB, best CDM out, 2 most productive players out and a goal shy forward line and they needed an avoidable pen to beat us. We have improved leaps and bounds. We're not going to win every week, but we certainly aren't going to get beat every week either.

Comments like this fascinate me. I'm sure Pep is a very good coach, but it certainly must help when you have had by far the biggest transfer and wages budget at every club you have managed.

FFS. BBC Sport STILL leading with Mo Salad. Even RS fans are sick of it.
