The Gentlemen is a perfect example of repellent politics (deeply racist, AND deeply Tory. Yikes.) not ruining fabulous filmmaking. The editing and dialogue on this thing are so fucking entertaining it borders on b-movie masterpiece.

Along Came Polly is so much better than I considered it back in the day. Once upon a time I thought it was a great PSH performance with some boring shit around it, but there's so much funny in this flick. I can't help but love a movie with a blind ferret doing pratfalls.

It's so easy to forget how great Sandler was when he really tried. Happy has depth that so many of his man children don't, he's deliberately funny as well as a doof, he's got wit and charm, but also rages with the best of them.

The Rocketeer is a movie i feel never really made it to the uk. Ive heard anericans reference it as a go to adventure flick of the 90s as long as ive been into movies, but its never bern much of a thing here. I guess if itv2 never buys your movie we never see it.

Spiderman: all the spiders-man plays better than i thought it would on a rewatch. I thought it worked purely because of the surprises in the cinema, but the character dynamics are delightful, even if its ugly as shit and the action sucks.

Went Morbin' for the first time when i couldnt sleep from the cold in my camper, i have 2 thoughts.
1: My nostalgia of watching daredevil on dvd as a 10 year old warmed my body and soul.
2: It put me to sleep through most of the third act.

Queer is a whole lot. Its the only movie ive seen that captures the vibe of the beat novels, where plot and theme feels like its hiding from you around the corner, peeking out occasionally through dialogue and tone.
Looks beautiful, acting incredible, allegory dense. Worth it
