The stay in and hunker down when it is cold tendency is strong in me. My Mema was from Minnesota, but the rest of my people are delicate, Southern fleurs who can't tolerate the cold. The high this weekend is going to be in the 20s and I have the urge to go to the grocery tomorrow and stock up.

Today as I was about to log off I remembered I agreed to do overtime. My No Buy January is going great except for the $790 in medical visits that aren't covered by insurance.

I thought that since The Teen had committed to a college that the Case Western Reserve flyers would stop. Apparently I was wrong. One arrived today!
The Teen is cleaning her room. She hasn't kept every flyer that was sent to her, but she has kept a lot of them since she began receiving them in earnest in August 2024. She has received no fewer than 24 pieces of mail from Case Western Reserve University. Tulane, Rollins, & Rhodes also sent a ton.

A tree limb fell on the roof and caused Pig the Cat extreme upset. It is raining here again, and we never made it above 36°, so I am extremely glad school is closed tomorrow.

I have laid out my clothes for tomorrow. I finished two books today. I get to WFH tomorrow, which I am super psyched about. I am going to grab a shower and wash my hair so I can sleep as late as possible tomorrow morning!

We were supposed to see some sunshine today, but that hasn't happened. A wedge of warm air is supposed to arrive later tonight and help us reach 40°, but that seems unlikely. I cannot believe the power lines have held up!

I know it is not served on the right kind of bread but innalmost 16 years of celiac I have never seen a gf kaiser roll, and we had to improvise with the cheese, but we had Taylor Pork Roll sandwiches for breakfast this morning.
