Just finished this collection of Algernon Blackwood's tales of the macabre and weird. But I'm amazed no one, as far as I can tell, has bothered to film them, especially The Kit-Bag, which is ready made for the BBC Christmas ghost story slot. #horror #booksky

I'm so glad I saved The Holdovers for my Christmas viewing. Inexplicably released mid-Jan in the UK, it's a perfect film for this time of year. Bittersweet and funny with a steely seriousness at its core, it's the best 1970s film not made in the seventies. #filmsky

Big, immersive and emtionally charged, LCD Soundsystem were magnificent at All Points East last night. Jockstrap, Floating Points and The Pixies also made a for great start to the Bank Holiday Weekend.
