My Moonlander Mark I keyboard I've had for 4+ years suddenly have a dead column (3,E,D,C,<) ...

Now typing on my 26 year old Logitech iTouch Keyboard - everything works...but I have to keep my hands in middle ... will be interesting to see if my back/shoulder pain will return.

I wish I could start work in cursor locally on my laptop and then when I need to or feel like going on a walk or drive tell it to continue as agent in their cloud. Feels like should be possible but not finding it. Am I blind?

Quarkus continues to focus on native for swift start-up time and low memory footprint. Learn more in By Severin Gehwolf's blog post, "Continued Focus on Native"

Spot on. Native image might not be perfect but it’s much easier to apply and make consistent across the broad use cases Java applies.
Good explanations from @0.5ritter.de about the diffs between Leyden and GraalVM. I think an important thing to surface is that Leyden requires steps which are not easily integrated in a build pipeline: you need to build an app, then profile it, then build the AOT cache, then repackage.
Part 5: Project Leyden, Babylon, Panama - TornadoVM

At Devoxx Belgium 2025, @frankdelporte.be took the camera and microphone to talk with several speakers and visitors: Moritz Halbritter, John Cecerralli, Christos Kotselidis, Michalis Papadimitriou 🎙️☕️

If you want to stay sane while using windows builders on github actions just always use gradle --no-daemon ...

Don't tell me why I know - just know if I had just used gradle --no-daemon everywhere I would have slept much more the last few days

Maybe I’m being too naive here…but how is this different from number of users using goggle search ? Difference afaics is ChatGPT can detect it and actually counter it.

Got jbang native image build.

Now starts allot of testing/verification.

Don’t want to break users updating nor give up on jvm mode on platforms without native image.

Gotta give it to jetbrains - they are making me jealous of how compact their data dsls and comprehensions are compared to Java.

Saying AI will remove need for development teams is like saying no one needs a carpenter/tradesman since electric tools arrived.

Do more with same; not same with less.

Late on this but great to see Cursor being public about their interest and support in our Java development tools work we’ve been working on for over a decade. Java is where AI agents want to be!

After decades of wanting to set one up.

I finally got a rack mounted home network setup.

Wanted a video of blinking lights but instead I got eery audio that wasn't present when recording.

Oh well :)

I got nerd-sniped over the weekend.

Made a java-fmt tool that in addition to make it super easy to format java code, is fast and work from anywhere - it also don't mess with jbang directives.
