I'm flattered to have people asking if "everything is okay?" given my sparse Seahawks content in a historic season.

I've been occupied by my 'ball job, then experienced some very tough end-of-year challenges in my personal life.

I greatly appreciate the interest in my work and support. Thank you

Steelers have been weak at that part of their coverage all year and it kills them. Will not / cannot in this case robot with their linebackers. And their linebackers just so poor dealing with intermediate zone threats. Kinda fitting it ends their season.

The Seahawks do things other teams try to do; but the Seahawks do that thing bloody great.

Example: the easy throws on the opening drive for Sam Darnold, including the big screen play to Walker.

Every team talks about and works simple drive starters to settle a QB on the road; Seattle executed

My morning prediction for Darnold/Seahawks, think these are topics that are largely applicable for the playoffs until/if they face the Rams again

Vibes takes, thought:

For most of the game Shanahan was bizarrely/negatively run-heavy on first downs

That Purdy passed up open checkdowns to detriment of offense, especially in neutral downs

All testament to Macdonald and Seahawks, but curious on 49ers side of it

Probably need to go through and chart all the ways Macdonald is defending heavier personnel from two high shell…

He throws a lot at it in games. Was obviously far more effective and dominant tonight, so I’m intrigued to see how much he unfurled versus repeating
What a slugfest Rams Seahawks was, both teams throwing everything they had at it.

Really like how Macdonald is defending heavier personnel from two-high shell. And you saw the layers of that throughout the game.

Can’t get over how great the Seahawks d-line is playing. Makes everything come alive. Such insane displacement at the line of scrimmage in the run game and then such disciplined active rush
January 4, 2026 at 3:56 AM
What a defense. Growth of them has been something to watch.

This better be a run
January 4, 2026 at 3:36 AM
That’s a cursed poster to show before a big third down man
January 4, 2026 at 3:33 AM
Run game ✅
It is strange because there’s parts of the team that feel very fools gold and then there’s parts that feel as-yet-untapped

TL;DR: they might be good
begrudgingly accepting that the Seahawks might be good
January 4, 2026 at 3:28 AM
This is hilarious. Most dominant defensive performance of the 2020s and you’ve got an offense threatening to poop
January 4, 2026 at 3:02 AM
Something Rams really did well versus Darnold too
SF came with a late press on JSN and that completely froze Darnold when he went to look for him on that first down sack.
January 4, 2026 at 2:27 AM
Lot of the Purdy big pass plays week 1 were breakdown of play stuff…
January 4, 2026 at 2:12 AM
Have really enjoyed Kubiak building into the offense early down layup throws to JSN, often getting JSN matched up on a linebacker via alignment, including in the backfield.

That’s been big for the Seahawks offense’s balance, where they don’t want to run on every single first down.

I anticipate the ball going faster to CMC… Seattle kinda weak in those areas schematically and personnel wise.
