Wishing a happy and peaceful Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas to all celebrating today across Warwick, Leamington, Whitnash and surrounding villages, across the UK and world!

I hope today is filled with much joy for you and your loved ones.

This Labour Government will back young people at every step.

A new guarantee will mean more placements for those out of work and education for 18+ months, plus a bold skills target: 2/3 of young people in uni, further education or gold-standard apprenticeships.

Good to be with the newly formed Warwick Labour Club and local members from the area with @mattwestern.bsky.social yesterday.

We need to be attracting new young members to Labour, and that's something I'll prioritise.

Great news! The new lifts at Warwick Station are finally open! A meaningful upgrade for thousands of travellers—thanks to the tireless work of Cllr John Holland. With over half a million passengers last year, this will help thousands travelling by train

Welcome news from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) this week that Range Rover production has resumed in Solihull, with around 6,500 employees back at work.

JLR is not only a major employer in Warwick and Leamington, but its supply chain supports tens of thousands more jobs.

It’s National Curry Week! Warwick & Leamington are packed with renowned curry houses serving authentic, award-winning dishes.

I dropped by Warwick Spice to mark their upcoming 25th anniversary, so why not support local businesses and enjoy a great curry this weekend.

Further to the letter I posted on 4th October, I am pleased to include additional signatories from faith and community leaders in Warwick and Leamington.

Last week's deplorable attack on members of the Jewish community have no place in the UK. We stand in solidarity with those all those affected.

Let us hope this is real.

Today marks two years since Hamas’s atrocious attacks on Israel, which killed 1,200 people and saw 251 taken hostage. It also marks two years of Gaza’s devastation, with more than 67,000 dead.

Let us hope that these coming days will bring lasting peace and security in the Middle East.

While JLR faced financial meltdown after a cyber-attack, Reform UK’s County Council Leader didn’t meet with them once.

No support, no leadership.

Instead, just posts about flags, ‘woke’ sixth forms & party politics. Those affected by this cyber-attack deserve better.

Again, Kemi Badenoch has made a decision that flies in the face of economic logic and public opinion.

The UK must continue to lead the green transition, not abandon it.

That’s why I’ve written to the SoS, urging him to double down on the UK’s commitment to the green transition.

In the wake of Thursday’s appalling attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue, I join with faith and community leaders from across Warwick and Leamington to stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbours.

Hate has no place in our society. We must always speak out against it.

I am horrified by the attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue.

There is absolutely no place for violence and antisemitism in our society.

I stand in full solidarity with the Jewish community, both here in Warwick and Leamington and across the UK.

Reform UK has removed the Ukrainian flag from Warwickshire County Council’s head office.

It’s a blinkered and shameful decision. Standing with those displaced by war isn’t optional, it is a moral obligation.

Reform should stand with Ukraine and reverse this disgraceful decision

We promised to chase down the COVID FRAUDSTERS!

The consortium closely connected to Baroness Mone has just been ordered to pay the UK Government £122m for breaching its PPE contract.

This is a resounding win and evidence that the Tories served themselves, not the country.
High Court rules Baroness Mone-linked company breached £122m Covid contract
Reacting to the ruling, Health Minister Stephen Kinnock said "we are going to get our money back".

I want to thank the organisations that met with me at this year’s Labour Conference🌹

It was great to hear about the vital work that organisations like Guide Dogs UK, National Grid, and the Motability Scheme are doing to support communities in Warwick and Leamington.

Wishing all those in the Jewish community across Warwick & Leamington, the UK, and around the world observing Yom Kippur a meaningful and easy fast.

Earlier this year, Farage said Jaguar Land Rover “deserved” to go bust. Ignorant and deeply damaging nonsense.

Now, after a crippling cyber-attack, thousands of workers across the UK are affected.

I’ve written to the Government and asked Reform UK’s Cllr Finch what support he’s offering.

I really want this government to succeed, but despite early achievements, we aren’t being heard.

I would be a strong independent choice for Deputy Leader, working full time, championing our movement and government.

Wishing the best of luck to those receiving GCSE & Level 1/2 VTQ results

You've worked hard & I hope you get the results you need for your next steps

If today doesn't go as hoped, it doesn't define you. There's support out there to help. Take your time. Do your research. Good luck!

Today is VJ Day & the 80th anniversary of the day Japan surrendered in 1945, which ended WW2.

It was a particularly dreadful conflict – one that is often forgotten. Today we remember those who fought to defend our freedoms and the many who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Wishing the very best of luck to students receiving their results today.

You have worked hard to get to this point and I hope you get the results you want/need, whether that be in your BTECs, Level 3 VTQs, A-levels or T-levels.
