Imagine being a national newspaper hesitantly (Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting called it "tepidly") covering the mayoral race in Seattle & interviewing the incumbent loser but not the winner. If you're the New York Times, you don't need to imagine it--that's exactly what you did. How embarrassing.

The number of centrists (most recently Paul Begala who I didn't realize was still alive) misunderstanding the significance of 50.1% in a 3 way race beating your 2nd place opponent by 10 points in the face of unrelenting millions of dollars of racist campaigning is . . . disturbing but unsurprising.

Always thought Ace Frehley, musicians' kid & roadie for Jimi Hendrix, was the most talented & musically interesting member of Kiss. "New York Groove" became a minor NYC anthem & outshone the other band members' mediocre solo work. I saw Kiss & Cheap Trick when I was 10. Safe landings Spaceman.
